The MEFS is the only EF assessment instrument that is based on a comprehensive, theoretical model of EF. The model incorporates multiple facets of executive control: self-regulation, self-realization, and self-determination. The result is a scale that allows greater depth and coverage of the multi-dimensional and complex facets of EF.
